Taking Speech/Language Therapy to the Next Level

In addition to our individualized Speech/Language Therapy programs, we offer group sessions for various speech and language needs.

Our Language Groups

Leaping Listeners

A summer program designed to provide children, ages 5-8, designed to enhance your child’s auditory memory and processing of auditory based information. Our curriculum consists of enhancing visual imagery to help remember information, chunking words and numbers to enhance storage, recalling words from sentences, identifying key elements in messages, following multi-step directions, and recalling short paragraphs.

Social Language

Language skills taught in a small group to improve and practice social skills: topic maintenance, problem solving, social commenting, recognizing non-verbal cues, as well as role-play social situations. Children will learn how much fun it is communicate with each other and improve relationships with friends. This group is offered several times throughout the year.

Expressive Language Lab

A program designed for children, ages 7 and above, to introduce, practice, and review the basic skills necessary for expressing oneself in an organized fashion. Our speech-language curriculum addresses Categories, Attributes, Defining and Describing, Comparing and Contrasting, Sequencing, Retelling Events and Composing Super Sentences. This group is typically available during the summer.

Communication Lab

A communication program designed for children, ages 7 and above, to enhance the pragmatic language skills for the improvement of the students’ interactions, socially and academically. This group is available as needed.

Summer Sound Camp

A program designed to provide children, ages 4-6, with pre-reading skills/ kindergarten readiness. Our speech-language curriculum addresses phonological awareness, letter and word recognition, sound–symbol association, identifying sounds in words, early rhyming and auditory processing activities. This group is typically available during the summer.

Chatterbugs

Language skills taught in a group of four to six children, ages, 3-6, to improve social language, sentence structure, auditory memory, and build receptive/expressive language skills. This group is typically offered year-round.
